ABOUT

SMALL TOWN PRIDE celebrates the storied diversity, equity and inclusive history of California’s Smallest City. Amador City is a historic space the LGBTQIA+ community, and has served as a safe space for queer people, artists and business’ for many years.

Small Town Pride started in 2019 at Small Town Food + Wine, as a collaboration with local queer artist, Greg Traverso. That year we celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall riots, and we saw an opportunity to theme our Sunday Special Brunch with Coco Lamarr, as a PRIDE Celebration and invite and unite our local LGBT+ community, allies and friends. In 2020 and 2021, the gathering continued as a way to keep the momentum, while safely gathering during pandemic restrictions. In 2022, Small Town Pride continues to morph with our changing times and society, this year collaborating with local business’ to expand our message and inclusion.

Small Town Pride will always be about celebrating this historically inclusive space, while honoring our past, embracing our current and creating a future that promotes equality, creativity, expression and progress in California’s smallest city.
